A Call to Help Victims of Tropical Storm Sendong in Mindanao

It’s almost Christmas and everybody in the city is busy buying gifts, foods and other things needed to celebrate Christmas. And while we are all enjoying the hype of it, our brothers and sisters in Mindanao are struggling to survive the year end challenge for them.

Just this weekend, two areas in Mindanao, Iligan and Cagayan De Oro, were hit by the tropical storm Sendong (International name is washi). While everybody is on their reverie, an unexpected flash floods happened in the two mentioned cities due to the storm Sendong. It was unexpected and everybody is caught off guard by the flood. Due to lack of preparation, a lot of lives have been compromised. According to the news, statistics for casualties has surpassed 500 death tolls and around 30, 000 people in evacuation centers.

I have gathered here some of the images captured during the Tropical storm Sendong. Credit to Google images for picking these images from various sources:

I encourage everyone to please pray for our brothers and sisters in the affected areas. If you want to help the victims of Sendong through financial support, you can check the list below. Thanks to Jane for providing the list.
