The year 2010 is the birth year of various languages in the Philippines. We have been introduced to Jejemon, Bekemon and the fliptop. These languages have even influenced Philippine music. We heard several Jejemon themed song and in fliptop style but these could never be threats to the rap music.
For the year 2011, Gloc 9 will bring back the most basic and the most artistic language of music, and if we think of Gloc 9, we are actually thinking of rap music. There have been a lot of Filipino rappers in the country, but Gloc 9 is unique because he is writing that in Filipino language and with a heavy theme of politics and it reflects the life of every Filipino. A great message and an amazing delivery in rap would make it a perfect Gloc 9 trademark.
The latest hit of Gloc 9 is a single entitled “Upuan” featuring Jeazell Grutas. And for the year 2011, our rap icon is back with a new single called “WALANG NATIRA”. The music video will be released this month. This single is included in the new album of Gloc 9 called “Talumpati” which will also be released this January 2011. The song is all about Overseas Filipino Workers. It is about the Philippine being drained with professionals and skilled workers because they are all going abroad. But of course, we can’t blame them because they just want to earn more. If only our government can provide them a good job with good salary and benefits, then they don’t need to go abroad.
Expect for best rap music from Gloc 9 this 2011. Let’s support his album and spread the news about the release of “TALUMPATI”.
The Talumpati album of Gloc 9 will feature artists such as Yeng Constantino for the song Bugtong, Gab of Kamikazee, Aiza Seguerra, Jaq of Kissjane, Mccoy of kenyo, Top Suzara, Wency Cornejo, Tanya Marcova and Aia of Imago.

ReplyDeletethanks for replying. urgh...i can't quote any lyrics coz my tagalog is not so hot. the song starts "whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa..." (big help, huh?) and the chorus (sung by a girl) starts with "kaibigan." i looked all over the internet using various keywords but came up empty. guess the song is not yet on the web, though i've heard it 3-4 times on the radio. thanks again.

Lagi kong naririnig sa Barngay LS every afternoon/night. The song is about dun kay Magdalena na wala ng parents, sila nlang ng pnagaaral nyang kapatid. Para magkaroon ng pera, nagbibigay siya ng aliw. Tapos isang gabi nasagasaan yung kapatid nya. Namatay. Yun po. Wondering rin po ako kunga ano yung title eh. :|
